Privacy Policy

Introduction

Harvest (“the App”) is a dividend portfolio tracking app for iPhone, designed to help you monitor your dividend income. Your privacy is important to us, and this policy explains how the App handles your data.

Data Collection

Harvest doesn’t collect anything that identifies you, unless you choose to send feedback and include your email address. The App operates primarily on your device with the following data practices:

• Anonymous usage data: Harvest collects anonymous usage events (which screens are used, feature usage counts) via TelemetryDeck to improve the app. No personal data, portfolio contents, or financial amounts are collected. You can turn this off in Settings → Privacy → Share anonymous usage data.
• Feedback: If you send feedback from Settings, your message, the category you chose, your email address (only if you enter one), and basic app and device info (only if you leave that switch on) are emailed to the developer through Resend. They are used only to read and reply to your feedback and are never sold or shared.
• Portfolio data:Your stock holdings, share counts, and watchlist are stored locally on your device using Apple’s Core Data framework. This data never leaves your device.
• Income goals:Your dividend income goals are stored locally on your device using Apple’s Keychain, which encrypts the data at rest. This data never leaves your device.
• Recently viewed: The last few stocks you opened are stored locally on your device and can be cleared at any time from the Settings page.
• Cached data: Stock information is cached locally to improve performance and reduce network requests. This cache can be cleared at any time from the Settings page.

Third-Party Services

• Market data: The App retrieves stock prices, dividend information, and company details from third-party financial data providers. These requests contain only stock ticker symbols; no personal information is transmitted.
• Usage analytics: TelemetryDeck receives the anonymous usage events described above. Events contain no tickers, share counts, prices, dollar amounts, goals, or search text; devices are identified only by an anonymized, hashed identifier. TelemetryDeck stores these events on servers in the European Union and never stores IP addresses. Because the events can’t be linked to a person, TelemetryDeck has no fixed schedule for deleting them; it expects to remove old events after 7 to 10 years.

Data Storage and Security

• Your portfolio, goals, and settings are stored locally on your device
• The App’s database is protected with iOS file encryption (NSFileProtectionCompleteUntilFirstUserAuthentication)
• No tracking or advertising frameworks are used. The only analytics are the anonymous usage events described above, which you can turn off
• No user accounts or registration is required

Data Sharing

Harvest does not sell or share user data with third parties. The App’s network requests retrieve stock market data (via Harvest’s server) and, unless you turn it off, send anonymous usage events to TelemetryDeck. Feedback is sent only when you tap Send; it goes to Harvest’s server, which emails it to the developer through Resend.

Your Rights

Since your portfolio data is stored locally on your device, you have full control:

• Turn off anonymous usage data in Settings → Privacy
• Clear recently viewed stocks from Settings → Clear Recently Viewed
• Clear cached data from Settings → Clear Cache
• Remove individual stocks from your portfolio at any time
• Delete the App to remove all associated data from your device

Children’s Privacy

Harvest does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. Apart from feedback a user chooses to send, the App does not collect information that identifies any user.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected here and in the App with an updated “Last updated” date.
